A total of 103 out of 110 teenagers, who have been detained from Dhaka's Hatirjheel area in connection with teenage gang activity, were released on Saturday.
Rest seven are still being questioning as there are previous allegations against them, said Hatirjheel Police Station officer in-charge Abdur Rashid.
As part of preventing teenage gang culture, police on Friday conducted drives in Hatirjheel area and nabbed 110 suspected teen-gang members.
They had information that teenage boys and girls take drugs at different spots of Hatirjheel and tease people who come there to roam.
Besides, they have found allegation of thieving and snatching away against the detainees, OC Rashid said on Friday.
Some 103 teenagers were handed over to their families as no previous allegation was found against them. And they were warned over the incidents, OC Rashid added.
Rest seven were accused of stealing, mugging and creating chaos in that area. Four were also named in separate cases,” the OC said.
