Novelist Milan Kundera has died

Milan Kundera, the author of the famous novel ‘The Unbearable Lightness of Being’ has passed away. Born in Czechoslovakia, the writer was 94 years old at the time of his death. The Moravian Library of the Czech Republic announced this on Wednesday.
“Milan Kundera died yesterday in Paris after a long illness,” said Anna Mrazova, a spokeswoman for the Moravian Library (MZK), which built Kundera’s personal collection.
He was born in Brno, Czechoslovakia. In 1968, he was put in solitary confinement for criticizing the Soviet Union’s invasion of Czechoslovakia. Then in 1975 he moved to France.
